Deadlock Gets a Big Update from Valve
Valve has released a major update for Deadlock, completely revamping its core map design. Gone are the four lanes; in their place is a streamlined three-lane structure, bringing the game more in line with traditional MOBA layouts.
This significant change dramatically alters gameplay. The previous "1 vs 2" lane distribution is obsolete. Expect to see two heroes per lane, necessitating a complete re-evaluation of team strategies and resource allocation.

The map's restructuring extends to neutral camps, buffs, and other key locations. To ease the transition, a new "map exploration" mode has been added, letting players freely explore the revised environment without the pressure of combat.
Beyond the map, the Soul Orb system has received a significant overhaul. Players can now collect souls even without directly securing the kill, leading to faster resource accumulation. Soul effects have also been refined, reducing air-hover times.
This update also includes adjustments to sprint mechanics and character balance, alongside enhanced support for technologies like DLSS, FSR, NVIDIA Reflex, and Anti-Lag 2.0. Performance improvements and numerous bug fixes round out this substantial patch. For a comprehensive list of all changes, consult the official patch notes.
