"Black Ops 6 Update Reverts Zombies Change"
In response to community feedback, Treyarch has rolled back a significant change to the zombie spawn delay in Black Ops 6's Zombies Directed Mode. This reversal, detailed in the latest update, aims to enhance the overall player experience by addressing concerns that the previous change discouraged farming kills and completing camo challenges. The update not only reverts the spawn delay to roughly 20 seconds after five looped rounds but also introduces several bug fixes for the Citadelle des Morts Zombies map and significant buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod.
Originally, the January 3 update had introduced a longer delay between zombie spawns after round 15 in Directed Mode, leading to player frustration. Treyarch quickly acknowledged this and, in their January 9 patch notes, confirmed the reversal of this change. They also fixed various glitches in Directed Mode on the Citadelle des Morts map, ensuring smoother gameplay and quest progression. Additionally, visual effect glitches and crashes related to the Void Sheath Augment for Aether Shroud were resolved.
The update also brought four new buffs to the Shadow Rift Ammo Mod, increasing normal and special enemy activation rates to 20% and 7%, respectively. The elite enemy activation rate with the Big Game Augment equipped was also raised to 7%, and the cooldown rate was reduced by 25%. These changes make Shadow Rift a more potent and enjoyable Ammo Mod for players.
Looking ahead, Treyarch has announced that Black Ops 6 Season 2 will kick off on January 28, promising more bug fixes and gameplay enhancements. Until then, players can continue to earn rewards by completing the main quest in the Citadelle des Morts Zombies map before the end of Season 1 Reloaded.
