Rebel Wolves and Bandai Namco's Collaborative Venture: The Dawnwalker Saga
Anticipation Builds: More Dawnwalker Details Coming Soon
This exciting collaboration, announced earlier this week, will see Bandai Namco serve as the global publisher for Dawnwalker, the first installment in Rebel Wolves' ambitious RPG saga. Launching in 2025 on PC, PS5, and Xbox, Dawnwalker promises a mature, story-driven AAA experience. Set in a dark fantasy medieval Europe, the game will offer a compelling narrative. Further details are expected in the coming months. Established in 2022, Rebel Wolves, based in Warsaw, Poland, aims to redefine the RPG genre with its narrative focus.
Tomasz Tinc, Rebel Wolves' chief publishing officer, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership: "Rebel Wolves is a new studio built on a strong foundation of experience and fresh energy. Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, renowned for its commitment to RPGs and its willingness to support new IPs, is the ideal partner. We share the same values, and their track record speaks volumes. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with them to bring the Dawnwalker saga to players worldwide."
Alberto Gonzalez Lorca, Bandai Namco's VP of business development, echoed this sentiment: "This marks another significant achievement in our content development strategy for the Western market. By combining our strengths, we will bring this debut title to a global audience."
Leading the charge as creative director is Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, a CD Projekt Red veteran and lead quest designer on The Witcher 3, who joined Rebel Wolves earlier this year. Co-founder and narrative director Jakub Szamalek, a nine-year CDPR writing veteran, confirms Dawnwalker as a new franchise. The game's scope is anticipated to be comparable to The Witcher 3's Blood and Wine expansion, with a nonlinear storyline.
Tomaszkiewicz previously highlighted the game's replayability: "We aim for an experience that offers diverse choices and encourages experimentation upon replay. Collaborating with such talented individuals to craft this experience is a privilege, and I can't wait for everyone to see what the team has been working on."
