Today's preview also highlights some of the set's unique mechanics, including Summons—Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can deploy for assistance in combat (as seen with Summon: Shiva). Double-faced cards also make a comeback, illustrated by Cecil's dual forms: Dark Knight and Redeemed Paladin.

The Final Fantasy expansion will include over 100 legendary creature cards, with 55 featuring borderless treatments. Some of these are illustrated by celebrated artists from throughout the Final Fantasy franchise.

Magic: The Gathering's Final Fantasy set is a fully draftable, Standard-legal release that will launch with four preconstructed Commander decks. Each deck is themed around a specific Final Fantasy title: 6, 7, 10, and 14. Every 100-card deck combines new Final Fantasy cards with reimagined versions of existing cards featuring Final Fantasy artwork. The set arrives on June 13.
