CrazyGames is thrilled to announce the launch of its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025, set to kick off this week. This exciting 10-day event, running from April 25th to May 5th, is a collaboration with Photon, the leading multiplayer service provider. Indie developers from around the globe are invited to participate in this game development marathon, focusing on crafting innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants have the chance to compete for a total of €10,000 in cash prizes and valuable premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (valued at €7,500)
- 500 CCU for a year (valued at €1,500)
- 100 CCU for a year (valued at €100)
The only requirements for the event are that games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity and imagination.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGL to provide seamless browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. During the jam, CrazyGames, alongside Photon, will offer support and the opportunity for winning games to be featured on their platform.
A pre-jam livestream will take place on April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn, providing insights into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, commented, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performance multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a great opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to sign up, please visit the official jam page.
