Avowed Marks First Month with Major Update, Enhanced Features

Just one month after its launch, including its inclusion in Game Pass, Obsidian and Xbox Game Studios have released a new trailer celebrating Avowed. This trailer features a compilation of glowing reviews and quotes from gaming journalists, underscoring the positive reception of this action-RPG.

The latest update for Avowed introduces support for DLSS 4, which includes Multi Frame Generation, Super Resolution, and DLAA. These cutting-edge technologies significantly boost the game's performance. NVIDIA has shown that players can experience up to a threefold increase in frame rates at maximum 4K settings, with frame rates soaring to 340 FPS. Additionally, the developers have hinted at forthcoming announcements about the game's future updates and roadmap in the coming weeks.

This update isn't solely focused on technical enhancements; it also improves the overall player experience. Players will now gain an extra talent point every five levels, and those who have already advanced in the game will receive these points automatically upon loading. For keyboard and mouse users, a new feature allows toggling between walking and running. Furthermore, a new accessibility option has been added to increase font sizes in documents, guides, and other in-game text, making the game more inclusive for all players.

While Avowed hasn't left critics entirely speechless, it has earned strong reviews across the board. Digital Foundry went as far as to call the game a technical "triumph," cementing its status as a standout title from Obsidian.
