Remedy Entertainment's latest financial report confirms that Control 2 has successfully completed its concept validation phase and entered full-scale production. This development marks a crucial step forward for the highly anticipated sequel.
Four Major Projects Underway at Remedy

While these projects have transitioned from pre-production to active development, the collaboration with Tencent on Project Kestrel was officially terminated in May 2023.
Northlight Engine Powers Development
All current projects utilize Remedy's proprietary Northlight engine, the same technology that powered the critically acclaimed Alan Wake 2 and other studio successes.
Financial Breakdown
The studio has disclosed investment figures for several projects:
- Control 2: €50 million budget (self-published)
- FBC: Firebreak: €30 million budget
- Max Payne remake: Budget undisclosed (fully funded by Rockstar Games)

Control 2 will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, while FBC: Firebreak will be available through PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass subscriptions alongside standard PC storefronts. The Max Payne remake remains a Rockstar-published exclusive.
