WoW: Midnight Unveils Flexible Housing System
Blizzard has recently shared exciting details about the upcoming in-game housing system in *World of Warcraft: Midnight*. Although the expansion is slated for release post-*The War Within* as part of the Worldsoul saga, the early previews have sparked significant interest due to the extensive customization options on offer.
A developer blog highlighted the mechanics of furniture placement, showcasing a grid-based system where items automatically snap into place. Players can also adorn larger objects like shelves or tables with smaller accessories that remain attached even when moved, offering a seamless decorating experience.
The housing system introduces two distinct modes: Basic Mode, designed for straightforward organization, and Advanced Mode, tailored for creative builders. In Advanced Mode, players have the freedom to rotate objects on all three axes and stack them in innovative ways, allowing for the creation of intricate and visually stunning interiors.

Another notable feature is the ability to scale objects, which caters to different character sizes. This means that gnomes can create cozy living spaces, while larger races like tauren can design more expansive environments. Some furniture pieces, specifically designed for the housing system, will support recoloring, although this feature may not be available for legacy assets.
As *Midnight* remains several months away, Blizzard is diligently teasing forthcoming content, keeping the community engaged and eagerly anticipating the game's future developments.
