Ultra Beasts Return to Pokémon GO in July

Pokémon GO's "Inbound from Ultra Space" event: A five-day Ultra Beast extravaganza!

Get ready, trainers! Pokémon GO is hosting a five-day event, "Inbound from Ultra Space," bringing back a host of Ultra Beasts from July 8th to 13th, 2024. This exciting event offers multiple ways to catch these interdimensional Pokémon.

Ultra Beasts Return, Region-Specific Battles

Nine Ultra Beasts will reappear in five-star raids, but catching them all requires global travel, as many are region-exclusive:

• Asia-Pacific: Xurkitree
• EMEA & India: Pheromosa
• Americas & Greenland: Buzzwole
• Eastern Hemisphere: Stakataka
• Western Hemisphere: Blacephalon
• Southern Hemisphere: Celesteela
• Northern Hemisphere: Kartana

Timed Research tasks offer encounters with all featured Ultra Beasts, but only Stakataka and Blacephalon boast special Pokédex backgrounds. New backgrounds will also be available from raids and wild catches.

Event Details: Raids, Research, and Bonuses

• Dates: July 8th, 10:00 a.m. – July 13th, 10:00 a.m. local time.
• Five-Star Raids: Each day features different Ultra Beasts (see the original article for the daily schedule). Raid Hour (6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. local time) for each day's featured raid Pokémon. Shiny encounters are possible!
• Timed Research: Complete research tasks for encounters with all event Ultra Beasts. Blacephalon and Stakataka have special backgrounds.
• Bonuses:
  • Increased Remote Raid Pass limit (20, July 8-11; unlimited July 12-14).
  • Guaranteed Candy XL from trades (Trainers level 31+, July 8-14).

Inbound from Ultra Space Ticket

For $5 (or equivalent), purchase the event ticket for exclusive bonuses:

• 5,000 XP from completed raids.
• 2x Stardust from winning Ultra Beast Raids.
• Bonus Candy and Candy XL from five-star raids.
• Up to 2 free Raid Passes from Gyms (up to 10 daily with Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global ticket).

Timed research tasks expire July 14th, 8:00 p.m. local time. Tickets can be gifted to Great Friends or higher.

New Backgrounds and Global Challenge

New special backgrounds will be awarded for catching certain Pokémon from raids. A global challenge runs from July 7th, 4:00 p.m. PDT to July 12th, 12:00 p.m. PDT. Completing this unlocks Beast Balls during Pokémon GO Fest 2024: Global and faster Party Power charging in Party Play until July 13th, 10:00 a.m. local time.
