Rory McCann Stars as Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka Series
Star Wars Celebration has unveiled our first glimpse of Rory McCann in the role of Baylan Skoll for Ahsoka Season 2. For context, McCann is stepping into the part following the passing of Ray Stevenson.
Though we haven't seen McCann's performance yet, the Ahsoka panel at Star Wars Celebration shared an exclusive first-look image, which you can view below.

Stevenson—also celebrated for his roles in Thor, RRR, Punisher: War Zone, Rome, and others—died after a short illness just three months before Ahsoka premiered. Many felt his portrayal of Baylan was among the series' standout achievements.
Dave Filoni, creator of the Ahsoka series, reflected that losing Ray was clearly one of the toughest obstacles in shaping Season 2, especially since he was "such a luminous presence both on screen and off."
Filoni and the creative team also teased more about what's to come in Season 2, confirming that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker, joined by Admiral Ackbar, Zeb, Chopper, and others.
In our Season 1 review, we noted that the show "gets off to a slow start as it reintroduces characters and lore from Dave Filoni’s animated Star Wars series. But as the actors and intergalactic storylines gain momentum, Ahsoka strikes an excellent balance of deep mythology, wit, and spectacular action—honoring classic Star Wars while charting a fresh course."
