Team Go Rocket Returns for Pokémon Go Fashion Week and Ho-Oh's Shadow Raid Day

Get ready for an exciting Pokémon GO event during Fashion Week: Taken Over, happening from January 15th to January 19th. This is your chance to battle Team Go Rocket, take on their leader Giovanni, and rescue the formidable Shadow Palkia. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to encounter Shadow Ho-Oh during the special Shadow Raid Day on January 19th.

Fashion Week will also introduce two new Pokémon to the game: Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. You can hatch Shroodle from 12 km Eggs. Keep an eye out for Team Go Rocket at PokéStops and in balloons, as they'll be appearing more frequently, giving you ample opportunities to use a Charged TM to help your Shadow Pokémon forget the Frustration move.

The event brings back Shadow Pokémon with new additions, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Some of these rescues might even be Shiny Pokémon if luck is on your side. You can battle these Shadow Pokémon through various Shadow Raids, and for the first time, you can use Remote Raid Passes to join in on these raids, even from afar.

A special research task will guide you to a Super Rocket Radar, leading to a thrilling face-off with Giovanni to save Shadow Palkia. The event also includes Field Research tasks, rewarding you with Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing a special Collection Challenge will earn you Stardust and an encounter with Trubbish.

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, join the Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day. This event will provide extra Raid Passes and increase your chances of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh. Any Ho-Oh caught during this period can learn the powerful Charged Attack, Sacred Fire. You can also purchase an event ticket for $5 to gain numerous extra rewards.
