With August behind us, and the Young Avengers departing the scene, Marvel Snap (Free) is ready for a new season! This month's theme? The Amazing Spider-Season – a thrilling, web-slinging adventure! While Bonesaw might be absent this time, exciting new cards and locations await. Let's dive in!

This season introduces a game-changing card mechanic: "Activate." Unlike "On Reveal," Activate abilities trigger at your chosen moment, offering strategic flexibility and dodging certain counter-effects. The Season Pass card perfectly showcases this new feature. Symbiote Spider-Man, the Season Pass card, is a 4-cost, 6-power powerhouse. His Activate ability absorbs the lowest-cost card at his location, copying its text and triggering any "On Reveal" effects anew. Prepare for some serious shenanigans, especially when paired with Galactus! This card's power might lead to a mid-season nerf, but the fun factor is undeniable.

Let's explore the other additions: Silver Sable (1-cost, 1-power) steals 2 power from the top card of your opponent's deck upon reveal. Madame Web (Ongoing) lets you move one friendly card at her location per turn.

Arana (1-cost, 1-power) is another Activate card, moving your next played card to the right and boosting its power by 2. She's poised to become a staple in move-based decks. Finally, Scarlet Spider (Ben Reilly) is a 4-cost, 5-power card with an Activate ability that creates an identical clone at another location – a powerful multiplication strategy.

Two new locations join the fray: The Brooklyn Bridge, a classic Spider-Man setting, restricts card placement to once every two turns. Otto's Lab functions like Otto himself, pulling a card from your opponent's hand to the location when you play a card there.
