"Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Receives Last Major Update"

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League with Season 4 Episode 8, now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. After launching to mixed reviews in February 2024, the developer announced in December 2024 that it would cease further development post the January 14 patch. Despite the end of new content, the game's servers will continue to operate, allowing players to enjoy the game with friends.

The unexpected live-service elements of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League contributed to its rapid decline, leading to the decision to end support after just 10 months. Season 4 Episode 8, titled "Balance," introduces new content including an Infamy Set inspired by DC Super-Villain Libra, powerful Notorious weapons, and a final Mayhem mission against Brainiac. The update also includes significant bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels.

Players can still enjoy Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League offline, thanks to the offline mode introduced in Season 4 Episode 7. This feature allows access to the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. For those who missed the game, it's now available on PlayStation Plus until February 3, alongside The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

Dive deeper into the medieval Elseworld in Episode 8: Balance, where you'll encounter new locations like The Quarry, a fortified citadel to besiege, and The Arena, ideal for jousting or interdimensional battles. Be inspired by the statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van, celebrating an era of chivalry and honor.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

The Libra Infamy Set, inspired by the DC Super-Villain obsessed with balance, introduces the Scales of Libra mechanic. Each stack increases both the damage enemies deal and receive by 50%, promoting a daring playstyle.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

Enhance your arsenal with:

  • The Silencer’s Complete Silence: Deals 200% bonus damage to enemies affected by Scales of Libra, with an Alt-Fire that creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage by 100%.
  • Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets: Pierces through enemies, applies Scales of Libra, and has a chance to electrify, perfect for crowd control.
  • Chronos’ Equilibrium: Boosts damage by 25% for every 1% of missing Shield, encouraging a high-risk, high-reward approach.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • Adjusted the duration of Deathstroke’s Suicide Strike for consistency with other characters.
  • Reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, with retroactive rewards for previously earned XP.

BUG FIXES

  • Fixed premature LuthorCoin expiration for players in Japan.
  • Resolved issues with the Raising Hell Playlist, bonus XP from Critical Kills and Infused enemies, B-Technology Resources rewards, and Leaderboard registration.
  • Corrected various mission-specific bugs, including kill counter issues and enemy spawn problems.
  • Addressed multiple character-specific bugs, including those affecting Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Gorilla Grodd, Orphan, and Brain.
  • Implemented various crash fixes, UI, SFX, gameplay, performance, animation, cinematic, audio, and environmental improvements.
  • Corrected untranslated text and incorrect enemy spawns.

KNOWN ISSUES

  • Progress in Riddler challenges may track incorrectly when played from an Episode other than the current one. Exiting to the main menu and restarting can resolve this issue.
