Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled his upcoming RTS-lite game, Battledom, currently in Alpha testing. This title serves as a spiritual successor to his 2020 hit, Herodom, and represents roughly two years of part-time development. Frenken describes Battledom as a closer realization of his original vision for Herodom.

Battledom introduces dynamic RTS combat mechanics, offering players the freedom to maneuver units across the battlefield. Engage enemies from afar using manually controlled siege weapons, and employ diverse formations for strategic advantage.

Build your army using in-game currency to recruit units. Initially, these units are lightly equipped, but you can enhance their capabilities by crafting and equipping weapons and armor. These upgrades directly impact unit stats, including attack power, range, accuracy, and defense.

Quarry with stones in buckets and an elevator lifting a bucket of stoneResource gathering is key to unit customization. Collect resources like wood, leather, and coal within your village to craft items at various workshops, including the blacksmith and magician.

Frenken's previous title, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating, showcasing over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Progression unlocks new character customization options and farm additions.
