Following hints earlier this year, developer SHIFT UP has confirmed Stellar Blade's PC arrival in 2025. The decision is fueled by the rising popularity of PC gaming and the success of titles like Black Myth: Wukong. While a precise release date is pending, SHIFT UP aims to maintain the game's popularity through ongoing marketing, including a collaboration DLC with NieR: Automata and a Photo Mode, both launching November 20th.

PSN Linking: A Potential Roadblock

Stellar Blade's PC release joins a growing trend of PlayStation exclusives making their way to PC. However, this trend has also introduced a controversial practice: PSN account linking. As a Sony-published title and with SHIFT UP's second-party status with Sony, a PSN account link for Steam might be required. This would exclude players in regions without PSN access.

Sony's stated reason for this requirement is to ensure the "safe" enjoyment of its live-service games, a justification that has drawn criticism regarding its application to single-player titles.
