Hollow Knight: Silksong Demo Unveiled
Showcased at Game Worlds Exhibit in Australia

Hollow Knight: Silksong, one of the most eagerly awaited games in recent years, will offer a playable demo at Australia’s National Museum of Screen Culture (ACMI). This new demo is expected to differ significantly from the 2019 E3 version, which was largely seen as a conceptual preview.
ACMI’s Game Worlds exhibition, running from September 18, 2025, to February 8, 2026, will spotlight several iconic titles, including World of Warcraft, The Sims, and Australia’s own Hollow Knight: Silksong. The exhibit will feature exclusive game builds, original design materials, concept art, and notable artifacts.
In an interview with IGN, ACMI co-curators Bethan Johnson and Jini Maxwell expressed excitement about including Silksong in the exhibit. They stated, “Since its 2019 reveal, Hollow Knight: Silksong has captured global attention as a highly anticipated indie title. We’re thrilled to highlight this South Australian gem as a centerpiece of the Game Worlds exhibit in September.”

Since its announcement in 2019, details about Silksong have been limited, leaving fans eager for updates. The Game Worlds exhibit at ACMI aims to quench this curiosity by offering fresh insights into the game’s development.
The co-curators noted that the exhibit will explore the intricate details of Silksong’s creation. They shared, “From the countless sprites animating Hornet’s movements and combat to the mechanics behind the game’s toughest boss battles, our Silksong displays will offer an in-depth look at its artistry and design, with the game playable on-site.”

While the Australian exhibit may hint at a potential launch window, no official release date for Silksong has been confirmed. The game briefly appeared during last month’s Switch 2 Direct, reaffirming a 2025 release window. With the exhibit running until 2026, fans remain hopeful for a launch as early as September or during the exhibit’s duration.
Hollow Knight: Silksong is slated for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Stay tuned for the latest updates on the game by checking out our detailed coverage below!
