Rockstar Releases Bully Anniversary Edition Update After Six Years
Rockstar, the renowned developers behind the GTA series, have just released an Anniversary Edition update for Bully on mobile platforms. After a six-year hiatus, this update brings a fresh wave of excitement to mobile gamers, as it's exclusive to mobile and not available on console or PC.
Rockstar Hasn’t Forgotten about Bullworth Academy!
The latest update for Bully: Anniversary Edition introduces new languages and emphasizes on enhancing game stability and fixing bugs. Rockstar has temporarily disabled Friends Challenges to refine this feature in the future.
For Android users with compatible devices, Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) has been enabled, enhancing visual quality. The update also includes a refreshed app icon and introduces haptic feedback on both iOS and Android platforms.
Several mission-specific issues have been addressed, including the notorious locker-picking challenge in 'That Bitch', progression bugs in 'Weed Killer', and the physics glitch with police cars in 'The Rumble'. Additionally, the update fixes issues where enemies wouldn't engage with protagonist Jimmy Hopkins, making combat more balanced. Crashes that could occur when starting a new game or loading from the pause menu have also been resolved.
What Do Players Have to Say about Bully: Anniversary Edition?
The fanbase has long been clamoring for a Bully sequel, but Rockstar's focus has shifted to other major projects. Rumors suggest Bully 2 was in development during the 2010s but was shelved to prioritize Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA Online.
With GTA 6 on the horizon, the prospects for Bully 2 seem slim, especially as many original developers have moved on from Rockstar. While the new update isn't a remaster or a sequel, it's a significant upgrade for mobile players.
For those unfamiliar with Bully, it's Rockstar's unique take on a schoolyard sandbox game where you step into the shoes of Jimmy Hopkins, a 15-year-old navigating the trials and tribulations of Bullworth Academy, filled with Rockstar's signature humor and open-world antics.
So, if you're interested, you can dive into Bully: Anniversary Edition on the Google Play Store for €7.99, with full gamepad support to enhance your gaming experience.
