Reverse: 1999's upcoming April 18th livestream will reveal exciting new content for version 2.5 "Showdown in Chinatown" along with special 1.5th anniversary details.
Martial Arts Meets Mystery in Version 2.5
The April 18th broadcast marks the international debut of "Showdown in Chinatown," a martial arts-inspired update paying homage to classic Hong Kong cinema. Captain Regulus and Officer Liang Yue (making her chibi debut) will host the livestream, which includes code giveaways and a Nintendo Switch 2 giveaway contest.
Previously showcased in the Chinese version, this crime thriller-themed update follows Officer Liang Yue's investigation of an arcanist vigilante. New characters include:
- Liang Yue - A martial arts expert undercover on a film set
- Noire - A wheelchair-bound director who manipulates puppet actors
- Loggerhead - A bizarre character with an actual camera for a head

While international version specifics remain under wraps, fans can expect numerous nods to Shaw Brothers and John Woo classics in this stylish update. The livestream will clarify which Chinese server content will make the global release.
