Calico Quilts & Cats Coming to Android

The cozy strategic puzzler Quilts and Cats of Calico is heading to mobile soon, wrapping players in a warm world of fabric patterns and adorable felines. Publisher Monster Couch and developer Flatout Games are bringing this board game-inspired title to phones after its successful console launches.

Release Schedule

The game arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on February 11th, with Android and iOS versions following on March 11th. Originally released on PC in March 2024, it came to Nintendo Switch last December.

Game Overview

With visuals reminiscent of Studio Ghibli films, Quilts and Cats of Calico offers relaxing gameplay centered around creating beautiful quilts by matching patterns and colors. Players compete against ambitious rivals while catering to finicky feline critics.

The cats serve as discerning judges of your quilt designs. Each furry critic has unique bedding preferences - they'll either ignore your work completely or claim it as their new napping spot. Players can interact directly with the cats through petting, watching their antics, or gently moving them when needed.

Differences From the Board Game

This digital version expands on the original Calico board game with new elements. The campaign introduces fresh mechanics, rule variants, and settings. Multiplayer features cross-platform play with ranked matches, weekly challenges, and leaderboards, while single-player offers adjustable AI difficulty.
