Project 007: James Bond Origin Story Game Confirmed for Nintendo Switch 2

Attention all GoldenEye fans, it's time to get excited — IO Interactive has officially announced that their upcoming James Bond game, Project 007, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. According to IO Interactive’s website, this game will dive into an entirely new narrative within the Bond universe.

"Players will step into the shoes of the world's favorite Secret Agent to earn their 00 status in the very first James Bond origin story," the developer stated, setting the stage for what promises to be a thrilling journey. This new game aims to provide fans with a fresh perspective on the iconic spy.

In an interview with IGN back in October, IO Interactive's Head, Hakan Abrak, shared his enthusiasm about crafting this original story. "What's exciting about that project is that we actually got to do an original story. So it's not a gamification of a movie," he explained. Abrak highlighted the ambition to create a trilogy, saying, "It's completely beginning and becoming a story, hopefully for a big trilogy out there in the future. And equally important and exciting, it's a new Bond. It's a Bond we built from the ground up for gamers. It's extremely exciting with all the tradition and all the history there is there together to work on this together with the family of creating a young Bond for gamers; a Bond that the gamers can call their own and grow with."
