The PlayStation Portal, Sony's PS remote player, is coming soon to Southeast Asia! Following a significant software update addressing Wi-Fi connectivity issues, pre-orders begin August 5th, 2024, with launches in Singapore on September 4th and Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand on October 9th.

Improved Wi-Fi Connectivity:

The recent Update 3.0.1 significantly enhances the PlayStation Portal's Wi-Fi capabilities. Previously limited to slower 2.4GHz bands, it now supports certain 5GHz networks, resulting in more stable remote play, as reported by users. A minimum of 5Mbps broadband internet is still recommended.
