Pokémon Go Unveils $100 Toilet Upgrade Ticket
Pokémon Go has introduced a new $100 Premier Access ticket upgrade for its upcoming Go Fest: Jersey City event, enhancing the experience with exclusive in-game items and upgraded real-world facilities, including "upgraded restrooms." Go Fest, the annual summer event, is set to occur at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, as well as in Paris, France, and Osaka, Japan. Attendees of the Jersey City event can now enhance their existing ticket with this $100 add-on, offering a range of enticing benefits.
Similar to a Business Class upgrade, the Premier Access ticket grants access to a dedicated lounge. Niantic has detailed that this area will feature "upgraded restrooms, portable charger kiosks with lockers, and seating areas to recharge yourself for your next adventure." While the specifics of the restroom upgrades remain undisclosed, these facilities are set to surpass those available to regular attendees.Additionally, Premier Access ticket holders will benefit from fast-track entry to the event's Pokémon Center Pop-Up Store. This perk allows you to bypass long queues, saving precious time that can be better spent exploring and catching Pokémon during the event. Given the typically high demand for merchandise at Go Fest, this feature is invaluable for maximizing your gaming experience.

The reaction to this new ticket option has been varied. Some players have criticized the high cost, pointing out that it's the most expensive upgrade Pokémon Go has ever offered, especially as the game continues to introduce more monetization options. On the other hand, some fans argue that the value of the in-game items justifies the price, appealing to those with the disposable income to enhance their Go Fest experience further.
IGN has reached out to Niantic for information on whether this Premier Access offer will be available at other Go Fest locations.
Pokémon Go Fest 2025 is scheduled for the weekend of May 29 in Osaka, the weekend of June 6 in Jersey City, and the weekend of June 13 in Paris. This year's event will spotlight the release of the Legendary creature Volcanion and the broader availability of the Mexican regional exclusive, Hawlucha.
