People Can Fly, the acclaimed developer behind Bulletstorm and a co-developer of the highly anticipated Gears of War: E-Day, has recently inked a deal with Sony Interactive Entertainment to create a new game, codenamed Project Delta. According to a report from People Can Fly, Project Delta is set to be developed as a work-for-hire game, though details beyond this classification remain undisclosed.

Amidst a bustling portfolio, People Can Fly is simultaneously working on numerous other projects, each bearing its own codename. Among these are Project Gemini, developed in collaboration with Square Enix, which faced a setback last year with the layoff of 30 developers. Another project, Project Echo, is being crafted with Krafton, while Project Red appears to also be linked with Sony. Just yesterday, the studio announced that Project Bison, their venture into VR gaming, would mark their final foray into that domain.

The studio's project lineup has seen several changes recently. Last December, People Can Fly decided to suspend work on Project Victoria and scale down efforts on Project Bifrost. Earlier, in April, they announced the cancellation of Project Dagger, which was intended to be an action-adventure game developed in partnership with Take-Two Interactive.

Despite these adjustments, People Can Fly remains actively engaged with eight projects currently in development. This includes the eagerly awaited Gears of War: E-Day, developed in collaboration with The Coalition, though no release date has been set. Meanwhile, the game developed with Square Enix, Project Gemini, is slated for a 2026 release.
