Jagex has unveiled a significant update for Old School RuneScape's mobile version, celebrating its sixth anniversary with a substantial content drop. This anniversary update introduces numerous improvements designed to enhance gameplay. Read on to see if you agree with the changes.
Key Enhancements in the Sixth Anniversary Update:
The Old School RuneScape sixth anniversary update focuses primarily on refining and streamlining the mobile experience. Notable additions include enhanced personalization options, a revamped mobile UI, convenient Side Stones, customizable hotkeys, and more.
The new UI provides a highly customizable interface, allowing players to arrange elements to their preference. Side Stones, acting as a central combat and general gameplay hub, offer quick access to inventory, equipment, spells, and friends. Five on-screen hotkeys can be assigned, and users can save up to three different hotkey layouts for seamless transitions between various activities.
The update also introduces the Menu Entry Swapper (MES), enabling players to modify interactions with NPCs and items, tailoring the game to individual playstyles. A new Popout Panel provides access to XP tracking, ground item indicators, and other helpful information. Finally, the highly requested HiScores feature has been added, allowing players to track their progress and compare rankings.
