Nintendo Direct Reveals Switch 2 Launch Date

The release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 has finally been announced. It's scheduled to launch on June 5, 2025.
Nintendo also revealed the price of the Nintendo Switch 2, which starts at $449.99.
The Nintendo Switch 2 package includes:
Nintendo Switch 2 console
Joy-Con 2 controllers (L+R)
Joy-Con 2 Grip
Joy-Con 2 Straps
Nintendo Switch 2 Dock
Ultra High-Speed HDMI Cable
Nintendo Switch 2 AC Adapter
USB-C Charging Cable
Additionally, the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle is priced at $499.99 in the United States. This bundle includes the console and a download code for Mario Kart World, available starting June 5.
Mario Kart World will be sold separately for $79.99, which is $10 more than Nintendo's previous highest-priced Switch game.
Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa stated, "The Nintendo Switch 2 represents the next evolution in home gaming that you can take anywhere. It builds on eight years of insights and player experiences since the original Nintendo Switch launched."
He added, "With new features that broaden the scope of gaming, we believe the Nintendo Switch 2 is a significant step forward in our mission to bring joy to everyone Nintendo reaches."
