Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage EOL Announced by Bandai Namco

Bandai Namco's popular fortress strategy RPG, Naruto X Boruto Ninja Voltage, is officially shutting down on December 9th, 2024, ending nearly seven years of gameplay. This isn't unexpected for many players, following a similar fate suffered by Naruto Blazing.

Shutdown Date and Final Events:

The game's final days will include several events: the Village Leader World Championship (October 8th-18th), an All-Out Mission (October 18th-November 1st), and a "Thanks For Everything" campaign (November 1st-December 1st). Players can continue collecting Ninja Cards, participating in summoning events, and using in-game items until the server closure. Any remaining Gold Coins should be spent before the shutdown.

Reasons for Closure:

While initially successful with its balanced village-building, trap-setting, and defense mechanics, the game's decline appears linked to several factors. The introduction of Minato Namikaze marked a shift towards power creep, alienating many players. Increased pay-to-win elements, reduced free-to-play rewards, and the near-disappearance of multiplayer features further contributed to player dissatisfaction and ultimately led to the game's closure. The game remains available on the Google Play Store for those wishing to play before the shutdown.
