Regarding Metaphor: ReFantazio's future, Hashino confirmed no immediate plans for a sequel, prioritizing the game's successful completion. He revealed that the project was initially conceived as a third major JRPG series alongside Persona and Shin Megami Tensei, aiming for it to become a flagship Atlus title. While a sequel isn't currently in development, an anime adaptation is under consideration. Metaphor: ReFantazio represents Atlus' most successful platform launch to date.

The game's peak concurrent player count exceeded 85,961, surpassing Persona 5 Royal (35,474 players) and Persona 3 Reload (45,002 players). Metaphor: ReFantazio is available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
