At today's Nintendo Direct, Nintendo officially announced the release date for the eagerly awaited Nintendo Switch 2, set for June 5, 2025. This next-generation console will be available at a retail price of $449.99. For those looking for a more comprehensive package, a bundle featuring the new system and the game Mario Kart World will be offered at $499.99.

If you're interested in purchasing Mario Kart World independently, be prepared for a price tag of $79.99, reflecting its status as a premium title in Nintendo's lineup. Historically, Nintendo has maintained a $60 price point for most of its games on the original Switch, with the exception of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which retailed at $70.
