Konosuba: Fantastic Days Offline Version Rumors Emerge Amidst Shutdown News
The popular mobile RPG, KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, is set to conclude its service on January 30th, 2025. Both the global and Japanese servers will shut down simultaneously after nearly five years of operation. While this marks the end of online play, developers have hinted at a potential offline version preserving the main storyline, key quests, and events. Further details on this offline release remain scarce.
Regarding in-game purchases, the developers are handling the closure responsibly. All in-app purchases were disabled on October 31st, 2024, and official channels will close on February 28th, 2025. Players can utilize existing Quartz and items until the service ends. Refunds for unused Quartz or unclaimed purchases from early 2024 are available until January 30th, 2025.
KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, the first mobile game based on the KonoSuba franchise, launched in Japan in February 2020 and globally in August 2021. The game’s charming narrative, appealing visuals, and visual novel-style story mode were well-received. However, like many gacha RPGs, it ultimately faced closure, a trend affecting numerous anime-based games this year due to factors such as declining player engagement and rising production costs.
If you haven't experienced KonoSuba: Fantastic Days, you have a limited time remaining to do so before the servers go offline. Download it from the Google Play Store. For more gaming news, check out our article on Orna: The GPS MMORPG's new Conqueror's Guild for PvP battles.
