Okamura stated in a recent 4Gamer interview, "We are dedicating significant resources to completing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater by 2025." While the game is playable from start to finish, the development team is focusing on refining details and enhancing the overall quality.

Initial speculation suggested a 2024 release, but that timeline proved unrealistic. The remake is now officially slated for 2025 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
