Infinity Nikki Delays V1.6 Launch After Community Outcry
In response to weeks of player inquiries, the Infinity Nikki development team has finally addressed concerns surrounding the rocky rollout of Version 1.5. Acknowledging that the update felt incomplete, the team admitted it wasn’t ready for launch. As a result, they’ve decided to delay the release of Version 1.6.
When Will Version 1.6 Be Released?
Originally scheduled for June 4th, Version 1.6 has been postponed to June 12th. In the meantime, the ongoing Bubble Season will continue, keeping events such as Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? active until the update. Merchandise stores like Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will remain accessible until then. Additionally, weekly activities like Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20th, will now be part of Version 1.6.
The developers issued an apology and highlighted challenges with performance across platforms, including PlayStation. They assured players that missing storylines, such as Threads of Reunion, remain intact and will be reintroduced later.
Beyond the Version 1.6 Delay, What’s Happening in Infinity Nikki?
Players have encountered numerous bugs, quest issues, and co-op malfunctions recently. To address these concerns, the team is offering compensation in the form of 120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day from June 5th to June 12th. Players must log in daily to claim this reward.
Critics argue that this gesture seems like a last-ditch effort to boost engagement following the team’s missteps. Many players were further disheartened when promotional banners for new outfits appeared shortly after the apology.
