Harry Potter TV Series: Young Star, Dursleys Shoot at London Zoo
The first official set photos from HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series have surfaced online, offering fans an exciting glimpse of the young lead star and his Muggle relatives, the Dursley family.
Production recently commenced at London Zoo, recreating the iconic scene from the first book where young Harry (now portrayed by Dominic McLaughlin) accidentally unleashes magical abilities to free a snake on his spoiled cousin Dudley.
These exclusive images reveal our first look at Dudley (Amos Kitson), Aunt Petunia (Bel Powley) and Uncle Vernon (Daniel Rigby) in full costume, wearing distinctly period-accurate outfits. Dudley sports a vibrant shellsuit, while Vernon dons a patterned shirt, thick spectacles and proudly displays his bushy mustache.
The wardrobe choices perfectly align with the books' original timeline, set around Dudley's 11th birthday in June 1991 - mere months before Harry's magical journey begins at Hogwarts.
While J.K. Rowling's beloved novels debuted in 1997, the story actually unfolds earlier in the 1990s. The saga concludes in 1998 before jumping forward nineteen years for its epilogue.
Lucky London Zoo visitors witnessed the cast filming scenes among various exhibits. This outdoor location marks one of few public shoots for the debut season, with most production occurring at Warner Bros. Leavesdon Studios.
The studio is currently constructing an actual school facility capable of housing up to 600 young actors as filming intensifies.

Warner Bros. and HBO envision adapting each Harry Potter novel into individual seasons, with production spanning the next decade. The inaugural season is scheduled for release in 2027.
HBO celebrated the start of production by unveiling Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter in full Hogwarts regalia. This reveal was followed by exclusive images of Shaun of the Dead star Nick Frost transformed into the lovable half-giant Hagrid.
Still awaiting their grand reveals are acclaimed actors John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Paul Whitehouse as Argus Filch and Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley.
