Fortnite Reverses Skin Controversy

The iconic Master Chief, star of the Halo series and a popular Fortnite skin, recently returned to the item shop after a two-year hiatus, much to the delight of fans. However, a controversy quickly arose concerning the Matte Black style, originally offered only to Xbox Series S|X players.
Initially advertised as permanently obtainable, the sudden announcement of its removal sparked considerable backlash. Some players even threatened legal action, believing the change violated established terms.
Fortunately, Epic Games swiftly reversed course within 24 hours. The Matte Black style is now available to all Master Chief skin owners who play a single game on an Xbox Series S|X console.
This reversal appears to be the most sensible outcome, especially given the holiday season. A less conciliatory approach would likely have soured the festive spirit for many players.
