Remedy Entertainment has officially announced that FBC: Firebreak will launch on June 17, 2025. This exciting new title is set within the beloved Control universe, offering a session-based, multiplayer PvE experience. Players will dive into replayable missions, referred to as Jobs, which present diverse challenges, objectives, and environments, demanding teamwork and adaptability for success.

FBC: Firebreak is slated to be available across multiple platforms including PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5, priced at $39.99 / €39.99 / £32.99. Additionally, it will be accessible from day one on PC Game Pass, Game Pass Ultimate, and the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog (Extra and Premium). This marks a significant milestone as Remedy's first self-published game.

Alongside the standard edition, Remedy unveiled the FBC: Firebreak Deluxe Edition, priced at $49.99 / €49.99 / £39.99. This premium version includes exclusive cosmetics and voice packs such as "The Firestarter" and "The Pencil Pusher" Premium Voice Packs, the Firestarter Armor Set, Apex Revision (Helmet, Body Armor, Gloves), Scorched Remnant Double-Barrel Shotgun Skin, Golden Firebreak Spray, and the Classified Requisition: "Firestarter," which unlocks 36 cosmetic items including weapon skins, sprays, and armor sets. Owners of the base game can upgrade to the Deluxe Edition for an additional $10 / €10 / £7.

The game introduces the Requisitions system, designed to reward players with new gear and cosmetics simply by playing. This system includes weapons, equipment, armor, sprays, and more, all unlockable using in-game currency earned through gameplay. There are no limited-time windows or rotating stores; all items added to the game remain permanently available. For those seeking additional customization, Classified Requisitions offer premium cosmetic items purchasable with real money, ensuring no impact on gameplay and permanent availability.

Remedy has committed to ongoing support post-launch, promising two new Jobs in 2025 and further updates in 2026. All post-launch content, including Jobs, will be free for all players. While cosmetic items can be purchased, they will not affect gameplay and there will be no limited-time rotations or daily log-ins.

Amidst a bustling development schedule, Remedy is also working on Control 2 and the Max Payne and Max Payne 2 remake compilation, keeping fans eagerly anticipating their next projects.
