Nearly three decades after its initial release, Paul W.S. Anderson's cult classic, *Event Horizon*, is set to expand its universe with a new prequel. IDW Publishing has announced *Event Horizon: Dark Descent*, a gripping five-issue comic book series that delves into the harrowing events preceding the film. This series promises to unveil the chilling fate of the original crew of the Event Horizon ship, offering fans a deeper look into the terrifying narrative.

Penned by the acclaimed Christian Ward, known for his work on *Batman: City of Madness*, and illustrated by Tristan Jones, famous for *Aliens: Defiance*, *Dark Descent* is set to capture the essence of the original film. The series will be brought to life with vibrant colors by Pip Martin of *That Texas Blood* fame, and stunning cover art by Ward, Jeffrey Alan Love, Martin Simmonds, and Joshua Hixson.
