Castle Doombad is back! The popular tower defense strategy game, originally released in 2014, returns as Castle Doombad: Free To Slay on Android. Developed by Grumpyface Studios and published by Yodo1, this mobile release offers a fresh take on the classic.

Grumpyface, known for titles like Steven Universe: Attack the Light and Teeny Titans, initially planned a single remake. However, they wisely divided the project: Free To Slay for mobile and Castle Doombad Classic (a remastered version with updated content) for Nintendo Switch and Steam (releasing later this year). A sequel, Castle Doombad 2: Muahaha!, is also in development.

The free-to-play game (with ads and optional in-app purchases) includes the original 70 stages, daily challenges, endless modes, over 30 unlockable and upgradeable traps, and over 100 collectible items. A customizable cosmetic system, "spoils," lets you adorn your Dark Lord and his lair with evil artifacts and loot, further enhanced by equippable "Baddie Bonus" perks.
