China has approved the release of the Genshin Impact, GTA and ZZZ hybrid

Ananta, formerly known as Project Mugen, is gearing up for a full release, having recently unveiled its title and a captivating trailer. This ambitious open-world urban RPG, a collaborative effort from NetEase Studios, Thunder Fire Studio, and Naked Rain, is generating significant global buzz.

Early promotional material showcased Ananta's unique blend of familiar elements from popular titles like Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and even GTA, all presented within a striking anime aesthetic. The game's Chinese release is slated for 2025 across PC, PlayStation 5, and mobile platforms.

The December 5th trailer introduced players to the role of an A.C.D. agent operating in Nova, a sun-kissed coastal city brimming with mystery and opportunities for exploration. Key features highlighted include four-player team-based combat, a distinctive art style, and fluid, high-speed movement. The developers emphasize Ananta's compelling mix of recognizable environments with a strong supernatural element.
