Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Title Update 1

Author : Mia May 19,2025

Tomorrow marks the release of the first Title Update for Monster Hunter Wilds, introducing quests that will encourage players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong warning against cheating and the use of external tools to manipulate rankings.

In a recent post on their X/Twitter account, Capcom emphasized their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment: "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."

Capcom also cautioned that engaging in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times, resulting in the revocation of rewards for all party members. They advised players to be vigilant and avoid playing with those suspected of engaging in prohibited activities, urging them to report any observed cheating.

The new quests will offer attractive rewards, including cosmetic pendants. Some rewards will be available to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This has prompted Capcom to take stringent measures against potential cheaters to ensure fairness in reward distribution and completion times.

The Time-Based Competition Quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. Make sure to head there once Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more details, you can review the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
