What Do You Do in Atuel, the Documentary Game?

Atuel invites players into the heart of the Atuel River Valley in Argentina, a region of stunning beauty grappling with the effects of climate change. This game offers a deeply immersive experience where players can shapeshift into various animals and elements of the ecosystem, allowing them to become part of the landscape itself. One moment you could be gliding through the skies, and the next, you're flowing as the river.

The game also features real-life interviews with historians, biologists, geologists, and local residents. These interviews provide insights into the region's history, its current challenges, and the looming impact of climate change on its future. Matajuegos partnered with the international documentary team, The 12.01 Project, to weave these compelling stories into the gameplay.

The visuals of Atuel are inspired by the Cuyo desert, creating an almost otherworldly atmosphere that sets the game apart.
