Feeling frustrated with your Avowed character's build? Don't worry, you're not alone! Many players find themselves needing to adjust their class or attributes after the initial character creation. This guide will walk you through respeccing your character, abilities, attributes, and even your companion in Avowed.

How to Respec Your Character in Avowed (& When You Should)

Choosing the perfect character build at the start of a game is tough. Respeccing allows you to fix mistakes and experiment with different playstyles. Maybe you started as a full wizard, only to find yourself struggling in combat—like I did! Respeccing lets you adapt and create the build of your dreams, maximizing your effectiveness later in the game.

To respec your abilities, open the in-game menu and navigate to the "Abilities" section. At the bottom, you'll find the "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing with each respec. Select the option, confirm your choice, and pay the price to reset all your ability points across skill trees (excluding the unchangeable "Godlike" abilities acquired through in-game choices).

Happy with your abilities but not your attributes? Or, perhaps you want a complete overhaul? Open the menu, go to the "Character" section, and you'll find a button beneath your attribute list to respec. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, scaling up with subsequent respecs. Click the button, pay the price, and redistribute your attribute points.

How to Respec Your Companion in Avowed

Want to adjust your companion's abilities? Navigate to the "Abilities" section, then the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll see a button to respec them for a cost in Copper Skeyt. Remember, you'll need to respec each companion individually.

That's all there is to respeccing in Avowed!
