Applin and Dynamax Entei to Debut in Pokémon Go This Month

Author : Simon May 16,2025

Two exciting Pokémon from the Galar region are making their debut in Pokémon Go this month, offering fans a mix of cuteness and power. The Sweet Discoveries event, running from April 24th to 29th, introduces the adorable Dragon/Grass-type Applin. To evolve Applin, you'll need 200 Applin Candy and 20 apples. Use Tart Apples to evolve into Flapple, or Sweet Apples for Appletun. Apples can be found in the wild, particularly around Mossy Lures, and may also trigger Applin encounters.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, you'll encounter wild spawns such as Bounsweet, Skwovet, and Delibird. Field Research and Eggs will offer chances to catch themed Pokémon like Munchlax and Cherubi. Timed Research, available in both free and paid versions, will reward you with Sweet and Tart Apples. The paid version also provides additional Mossy Lure Modules and extra Applin encounters.

ytDon't miss out on the Applin Headband and Apron available in the shop, and keep an eye on PokéStop Showcases featuring themed Pokémon. If you're more interested in raw power, mark your calendar for the Max Battle Weekend on April 26th-27th, where Dynamax Entei will make its fiery entrance. You might even encounter a Shiny Entei if luck is on your side.

Prepare for these events by using these Pokémon Go codes to enhance your gameplay!

Several bonuses will be active during both events. You'll benefit from an increased Max Particle cap, reduced distance to collect them, and faster Power Spot refresh rates. Additionally, you'll earn eight times more Max Particles from each Power Spot. Leading up to the Max Battle Weekend, free Timed Research starts on April 21st, rewarding you with a Dynamax Sobble to help counter Entei's fiery attacks.

Get ready for both events by stocking up on necessary items at the Pokémon Go Web Store.
