Android gamers, rejoice! Vay, a beloved 16-bit JRPG, returns revitalized.

SoMoGa Inc. has unleashed a revitalized version of Vay on Android, iOS, and Steam. This classic 16-bit RPG returns with stunning updated visuals, a modernized user interface, and welcome controller support.

Originally released in Japan in 1993 for the Sega CD and developed by Hertz, Vay received a US localization by Working Designs. SoMoGa kept the game's spirit alive with a 2008 iOS re-release.

What's New in the Revamped Vay?

This updated Vay boasts over 100 enemies and a dozen formidable bosses. Explore more than 90 diverse areas, each brimming with adventure. A standout feature is the inclusion of user-selectable difficulty levels.

The revamped version also features an auto-save function, eliminating save-game anxieties. Bluetooth controller support provides flexible play options. Players can acquire new equipment and items, and characters learn new spells as they level up. An AI system even allows for autonomous character combat.

The Story:

Set in a distant galaxy scarred by a millennia-long interstellar war, the narrative unfolds on Vay, a technologically underdeveloped planet. A colossal, malfunctioning war machine crashed here, leaving a trail of destruction.

Players embark on a quest to rescue their abducted wife, a mission that may ultimately determine the fate of the world. The wedding day attack and subsequent kidnapping launch an epic journey to thwart the destructive war machines.

Vay's gripping story blends nostalgia with fresh elements. True to its JRPG roots, characters gain experience and gold through random encounters. The game features nearly ten minutes of animated cutscenes with both English and Japanese audio options.
