Microsoft has revealed that eight games will be departing from its Xbox Game Pass subscription service on May 15, 2025. The titles set to leave include Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, Jurassic World Evolution 2, and Little Kitty, Big City, among others.

Xbox Game Pass is a premier online gaming service available for Xbox and PC platforms. Subscribers can enjoy streaming games directly on smart devices and consoles, access new releases on day one based on their subscription tier, and dive into a vast library of high-quality games with friends across console, PC, or cloud. The following games will be removed from this extensive catalog:

Games leaving Xbox Game Pass in May are:

  • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
  • Chants of Sennaar
  • Dune: Spice Wars
  • Hauntii
  • Jurassic World Evolution 2
  • Little Kitty, Big City
  • Planet of Lana
  • The Big Con

Microsoft is poised to unveil the second wave of the May 2025 Game Pass lineup shortly after these games exit the service.

In related news, earlier this month, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members were treated to a new perk: the ability to stream select games directly to their consoles without the need for downloads. This update was announced via an Xbox Wire post, highlighting that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members can now stream games from the Game Pass catalog, as well as "select games they own," on their Xbox Series X, S, and Xbox One consoles through cloud streaming. Previously, this feature was accessible on smart TVs, PCs, smartphones, and Meta Quest headsets, but this marks its debut on consoles.

For fans of the Grand Theft Auto series, the recent news that Grand Theft Auto 6 has been delayed to May 2026 might have you itching to revisit GTA 5. Fortunately, GTA 5 Enhanced is now available on Xbox Game Pass and Game Pass for PC, marking the first time the game has been offered on PC Game Pass.
