Season 0 Details for 2XKO Early Access

Launching on October 7

As 2XKO approaches its Early Access launch, developer Riot Games has unveiled fresh insights about the forthcoming Season 0, complemented by a new cinematic trailer for the game. On October 6, Riot Games released a brand-new official cinematic titled "Ties That Bind" on their YouTube channel.

This four-minute video emphasizes the relationships between the champions, focusing on Ahri, Yasuo, and Ekko. It also offered a sneak peek at another champion joining the 2XKO roster, Warwick, whose inclusion was confirmed in a subsequent announcement.

Additionally, in a Twitter (X) post dated October 6, 2025, Riot Games provided a concise summary of the Season 0 patch notes, with comprehensive details available on their official website. This upcoming update will reset all progress for participants of the Closed Beta.

However, Riot Games has confirmed that from the start of Early Access, no further account resets will occur. Furthermore, Early Access remains exclusive to PC players, though all progress on PC will transfer to consoles upon their official launch.

New Content, Champions, Skins, Stages, and More

2XKO Warwick

2XKO introduces a wealth of new content with its Early Access release, including new champions, skins, stages, and various adjustments to the tag fighter mechanics. To begin, all participants of the Closed Beta will receive the exclusive "Closed Beta Boss" player title once the update is live.

Alongside the previously announced addition of Teemo, 2XKO welcomes the Uncaged Wrath of Zaun, Warwick, to its roster. Warwick's move set and gameplay trailer will be revealed tomorrow, with a dedicated developer update following the next day.

Building on the existing tutorials, 2XKO will feature Combo Trials, offering more opportunities for players to master each champion. The Training Mode will also include a frame data bar, helping players visualize frame data and identify gaps in their combos.

2XKO Bandlewood Crossing stage

To enhance the combat experience, 2XKO will roll out new stages inspired by various regions of Runeterra. These include Bandlewood Crossing, purchasable in the Stages section of the Collection tab, and Firelight Run, which is the first reward on the paid Battle Pass track.

While the Closed Beta was a success, the developers plan to continue refining the game’s systems during Early Access with numerous adjustments to Fuses and champions, alongside multiple bug fixes. Meanwhile, Ranked play will commence on October 9, 2025, with the release of patch 1.0.1.1.

The new matchmaking queuing system for Ranked is designed to increase queue times, ensuring players are matched against opponents of similar skill levels. This aims to create more balanced and fair Ranked matches, making the climb through the ranks a truly rewarding experience.
