Operating on a shadow budget without official government backing, the IAB's agents, under the guise of "training exercises" and "counter-terrorism efforts," relentlessly pursue vampires, whom they label as "Hollow Ones."

Leading the charge in Seattle is Agent Baker, a disciplined and pragmatic leader dubbed "The Hen" by her followers due to her unwavering authority. Baker's approach to hunting involves meticulous investigation of odd occurrences and a deep dive into historical data to uncover links to the clandestine vampire society. Her goal is clear: the permanent eradication of vampires.

The IAB's hunters are a formidable force, known for their coordination and vigilance. They secure their bases with both external and internal defenses, making solo encounters daunting. Operating in teams, they use spotlights and maintain constant communication through portable radios. In combat, they wield thermic batons that negate defensive maneuvers and deploy phosphorous grenades to flush out adversaries. Their sniper crossbows launch explosive bolts, which, if not promptly removed, can cause severe damage.

Despite their prowess, the hunters have vulnerabilities. Physically weaker than ghouls and vampires, they can be outmaneuvered with the right skills. For instance, the Fire ability allows players to catch and return grenades or bolts, turning the hunters' weapons against them. Additionally, members of the Ventru clan can use their powers to possess an enemy, forcing them to attack their own squad.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is set to launch in the first half of 2025, available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
