Pokemon TCG Pocket Adds Type: Null, Ultra Beasts
Still working on completing your Celestial Guardians collection in Pokemon TCG Pocket, which only launched three weeks ago? Tough luck - another expansion is already on the horizon. Titled Extradimensional Crisis, this May 29 release introduces bizarre Ultra Beasts and the unsettling chimera Pokémon Type: Null.
Extradimensional Crisis features the Ultra Beasts - those strange alien-like creatures that played a major role in Pokemon Sun and Moon as interdimensional invaders. Confirmed additions include Buzzwole ex, Blacephalon, Nihilego, and Guzzlord ex. The expansion also brings more Alola-region Pokémon to complement Celestial Guardians' selection, plus Type: Null (hinting that its evolution Silvally may follow).
New expansions mean fresh cosmetic items, and this one delivers an Ultra Beast-themed binder cover available for shop tickets starting May 29. Players can also look forward to a floral display board purchasable with event tickets during the upcoming Wonder Pick event beginning June 11.
Pokemon TCG Pocket has maintained a steady expansion rollout since its debut last year. While Extradimensional Crisis is technically a minor booster release (offering just one pack type instead of multiple), its arrival closely follows previous expansions. This marks the game's seventh expansion overall and fourth smaller-scale addition alongside Mythical Island, Triumphant Light, and Shining Revelry. Currently, all previous expansions remain available in-game... though their future availability remains uncertain.
