"Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month"

Torchlight: Infinite has just unveiled the details for its highly anticipated Season 8: Sandlord, set to launch on April 17th. This season promises a significant transformation with the introduction of the Cloud Oasis, featuring innovative economic gameplay mechanics, and a complete overhaul of the Deep Space area.

In Season 8, players will immerse themselves in more than just battling monsters; they'll embark on building an empire in the skies. The new Sandlord mechanic brings the Cloud Oasis to life, where players can trade resources, manage workers, and oversee production lines to establish their aerial stronghold.

Thea makes a return with an exciting twist in her gameplay. Her new Blasphemer trait sees her trading divine powers for the curse of Desecration. This curse begins modestly but scales dramatically, enhancing Erosion damage based on her remaining blessing power. Players can further amplify this into Area of Effect (AoE) explosions or health-scaling effects, making it a perfect fit for those who enjoy damage-over-time mechanics and intricate build synergies.

The endgame content receives substantial enhancements with a complete rework of Deep Space, introducing five new stages, expansive maps, and formidable enemies. A new system called Probes allows players to adjust the risk and reward levels. Each Probe increases the challenge but offers the potential for better loot, including Compass chests via the Compass Probe.

The update also features a Blending System for belt crafting, enabling players to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot for more profound build customization. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, has been added to the Plane Watcher and the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown.

Celebrating the launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and have a chance to win from a prize pool valued at $250,000.
