Top Nintendo Franchise for LEGO Set in 2025 Revealed

Nintendo and LEGO have already delighted fans with some fantastic collaborations, including the innovative Mario and Yoshi set that actually moves, as well as the groundbreaking first-ever LEGO Legend of Zelda set. These sets have been fantastic, but as fans of both LEGO and Nintendo, we're always eager for more. With a plethora of iconic Nintendo franchises yet to be explored in the LEGO universe, the question arises: Which Nintendo franchise should be next to receive the LEGO treatment?

So far, the LEGO Nintendo range has predominantly featured Mario sets, which also include Donkey Kong, and a good selection of Animal Crossing sets. However, there's still a vast array of other Nintendo franchises waiting in the wings. As enthusiasts, we're craving more options to expand our collections and bring more of Nintendo's beloved worlds to life through LEGO.

Which Nintendo Franchise Deserves a LEGO Set the Most?

With the excitement building around the announcement of the Switch 2, the anticipation for the next generation of Nintendo continues to grow. It's highly probable that we'll see more LEGO Nintendo sets, especially as Nintendo expands its ventures into movies, including the new Mario movie and the eventual live-action Zelda film, alongside upcoming Switch games. Personally, I believe the franchise that would translate into the coolest LEGO sets is Metroid. With Metroid Prime 4 on the horizon, it's the perfect opportunity to introduce some truly remarkable builds that I'd be eager to add to my collection. Additionally, I'd love to see actual LEGO Pokémon sets, rather than the existing MEGA sets. However, I recognize this might be challenging due to the licensing agreement between Mattel and The Pokémon Company.
