No big surprises here. Beryl, Gloria, Inanna, and Col are prime targets for rerolling, offering a strong start. Beryl and Col stand out as the top DPS characters, with Beryl slightly ahead due to her Destroyer-type advantage against all but Watchers. Col, on the other hand, excels as a rogue capable of wiping out enemy teams from the side or rear, making attack and crit rate boosting gear essential.

Gloria and Inanna are the premier support characters. Gloria can also serve as a formidable DPS, enhancing your team with her Flag buffs, knockback capabilities, and significant damage output. For a dedicated healer, Inanna is invaluable, especially in tougher stages, thanks to her ability to summon a controllable Guard of the Princess that can tank hits and assist in meeting battle objectives.

Edda, added to the global version, enhances magical team potential with her debuffing prowess, particularly in Weaponry Trial I, easing Legendary weapon farming. Cocoa, introduced in September 2024, is an excellent tank with added utility through heals, buffs, and debuffs, reaching her full potential at five stars.

Saffiyah and Auguste are known as two of the most potent characters from CN and TW versions, with Saffiyah being a versatile Seeker who can summon minions, heal, and deal damage while avoiding hits. Auguste is a top Breaker and auto-play character, making him a must-have for any team composition.

Dantalion and Magnus form a powerful duo, with strong attack buffs that make them formidable in PvE stages. Magnus is a solid tank, ideal if you haven't yet obtained Cocoa. Dantalion's kit focuses on accumulating defensive and offensive buffs, allowing him to potentially clear stages single-handedly.

Nonowill excels in support, offering buffs and debuffs while maintaining high mobility. Simona, introduced in late August 2024, is a battlemage who can freeze and slow enemies, making her a great addition to a magic-based team alongside Edda.

Rawiyah (Alt) and Saffiyah (Alt) are strong additions to any team. Rawiyah (Alt) offers enhanced utility and high damage output, including AoE capabilities and self-healing. Saffiyah (Alt), while not as dominant as her original version, remains an excellent debuffer, reducing enemy attacks while boosting allies.

B-Tier

Maitha is a versatile tank with decent damage and healing capabilities, serving well as an early game starter tank but likely to be replaced by stronger options like Magnus or Cocoa. Rawiyah is another early game gem, focusing on DPS with AoE capabilities and self-healing, making her self-sufficient in combat.

C-Tier

While these characters may be at the bottom of the Legendary tier list, they're not ineffective. Teadon, for instance, is a decent tank with high defense and frontline capabilities. These units can serve well in the early game but are typically replaced as better options become available.

Best Epic Characters to Invest In

sword of convallaria tier list for epic characters

Not everyone will have the luck or patience to acquire S-tier units immediately. Fortunately, Sword of Convallaria offers robust Epic characters that can fill your party effectively and even carry you to the endgame.

Here are our recommendations for the best Epic characters to invest in:

RoleCharacter
RogueCrimson Falcon
DPSTempest, Stormbreaker
MageDarklight Ice Priest, Abyss, Butterfly
TankSuppression
HealerAngel

Crimson Falcon has been a game-changer, offering high damage and mobility as a rogue. She's often the first character players max out due to the abundance of her Memory Shards. Tempest and Stormbreaker are reliable DPS options for the frontlines, while Darklight Ice Priest and Abyss provide strong mage capabilities. Butterfly acts more like a utility character, akin to the Dancer in Fire Emblem, offering minor heals and position swaps.

For tanking and healing, Suppression and Angel are top picks. Suppression is a solid choice if you're not heavily invested in Maitha, and Angel's healing capabilities are crucial if you lack Inanna, keeping your team alive as you save for more pulls.
