Tides of Annihilation: a beautiful action game announced

Tides of Annihilation, drawing inspiration from Arthurian legend, casts players as Gwendolyn, a young woman battling alongside spectral knights to rescue her family and mend a fractured world.

The game unfolds in a ravaged, modern-day London, overrun by a mysterious otherworldly invasion. Players will confront waves of enemies alongside their ghostly allies, the primary foes being colossal, roaming knights that demand strategic combat, requiring players to scale and engage them directly in intense skirmishes.

While visually impressive, the game's narrative lacks a compelling hook. Recent soulslike titles have successfully reimagined classic tales – "Journey to the West" offered a fresh perspective to Western audiences, and "Lies of P" presented a novel take on Pinocchio. However, the King Arthur narrative feels overused, preventing Tides of Annihilation from achieving a truly unique identity despite its visual appeal.
